When sending an email you can populate the body of the email with data from the database using linked records.
To do this, open a new email pop up. Then select the Linked Record Type.
Then you will need to find the record that you want to pull the data from.
Now that a record is linked you can use the 'merge fields' button to populate the email with data from that record.
