Summary
The Special Dates section of the Contact Records is designed to help you keep track of the important dates for that Contact Record.
These include:
Birthday
Purchase Date
Lease Date
Sold Date
Other
The title fields lets you identify the special date. For example if you select Purchase Date you can then use the Title to identify which property the Contact Purchased
When saved, the date will display as follows:
Automatic Special Dates
Special Dates are automatically populated for Contact Records when the OFFER record is marked as Settled or Leased.
NOTE: Because the Offer record is the trigger for the Automatic Special Date, Residential Leases do not create special date, since they don’t have offer records.
A property is sold and the Contact is the Buyer
When this occurs, the Special Date is created with Type = Purchase Date & Title = Purchased {short address} is created.
A commercial property is lease and the Contact is the Tenant
When this occurs, the Special Date is created with Type = Leased Date & Title = Leased {short address} is created.
Action Plan Triggers
Special Dates are great to use for Action Plans to follow up with Owners of properties you’ve sold to. You can set up lengthy Action Plans that touch base with the owners annually, or as frequently as you like. Learn more about creating Action Plans HERE.
